![]() ![]() So if you have a sports (ha!)-related injury, the first thing I’d do is go see if Kate and her magic fingers can fix you up. It’s certainly not cured but it’s gone from excruciatingly to mild and most of the time I don’t even notice it. I’m typing this the next day and I have almost no pain in my shoulder. And she also has an extremely warm bedside manner so that the hour seems to fly by. She is very good at communicating what and why she’s doing it. The process was not painless but it was extremely worthwhile (no pain no gain!). She asked me lots of questions to find out under what circumstances I was in pain and then went to work on precisely the area that needed attention. I’ve had quite a few different styles of massage but Kate’s was easily the most effective. In the mean-time it went from annoying to excruciating as a result of a swim lesson. We scheduled an appointment a few days later. I met Kate at a friend’s party and she quickly pinpointed the issue. Anyway it got so bad that even taking my phone out of my pocket was painful. Haven’t looked back.īodywork led to Pilates because I wanted to help my clients resolve the underlying weakness and structural misalignment that was creating their injuries and pain. I loved the buzz and rush of the Big Apple, but was lured to San Francisco by its promise of brighter skies and burning creativity in 2001. I got into bodywork in 2000 while pursuing an acting career in New York. I’m a warm-hearted guide, subtle listener and sweet ass-kicker, if you need that. I’m a Yoga teacher who cares more about how the practice makes you feel than what poses you can do. I’m a Pilates instructor who believes that the genius of the method lies in fitting it to you rather than shoehorning you to the system. I’m a bodyworker who is more Lenny Kravitz than Enya. With a focused eye for alignment, strong hands and heart, she will help you break through to your next level of success and wellbeing. Kate’s skill set bridges yoga, therapeutic massage, and pilates.
